Implementation models

Integrated solution or energy as a service

The implementation model is chosen according to the site's needs, location and number of users: an energy platform integrated into the site, or a separate energy station that supplies power, cooling and heat as a service.

Energy solution integrated into the site

The energy platform is designed and integrated directly into the industrial plant's or data centre's own premises and automation. Power generation, backup power, cooling and heat recovery are sized to the site's own processes and critical loads.

  • Tailored to a single facility's premises, processes and backup power needs
  • Integrates with the building and production process systems
  • Suitable for new-build projects and for modernising existing infrastructure

Energy and cooling as a service (EaaS)

A separate energy station generates and supplies power, cooling, heat and backup power as an agreed service. The customer receives the energy services it needs without having to tie up capital or manage day-to-day energy generation itself.

  • Energy, cooling and backup power are supplied as an agreed service
  • Frees up the customer's capital and resources for its core business
  • Can serve a single site or several operators

In both models, ownership, the investment structure and responsibilities for operation and maintenance are agreed project by project according to the needs of the customer and partners.

Delivery model

A clear path from assessment to commissioning

The aim is to proceed in stages so that technical and commercial decisions can be based on increasingly accurate input data. Practical deliverables are defined for each stage.

  1. 01

    Energy needs assessment

We map the power demand, load development, cooling and heating needs, site location and schedule.

    Deliverables

    • Needs description and input data
    • Preliminary power and heat sizing
    • List of open questions
  2. 02

    Technical and commercial pre-feasibility study

We assess the grid connection status and the options for local generation, backup power and heat utilisation.

    Deliverables

    • Comparison of options
    • Preliminary cost and viability estimate
    • Permitting and grid connection study needs
  3. 03

    Concept and agreed responsibilities

The implementation model is selected, and ownership, investment and operating responsibilities are agreed.

    Deliverables

    • Concept plan
    • Responsibility matrix
    • Draft partner and contract model
  4. 04

    Detailed design and investment decision

Plans are refined so that the investment decision can be made on the basis of reliable information.

    Deliverables

    • Implementation plan
    • Refined budget and schedule
    • Decision documentation
  5. 05

    Procurement, installation and integration

Equipment is procured and installed, and the system is connected to the site's power, cooling and heating networks.

    Deliverables

    • Procurement plan
    • Installation and site schedule
    • Connection and interface documentation
  6. 06

    Testing, commissioning and agreed operation

The system is tested and commissioned. Operation and optimisation are handled according to the agreed division of responsibilities.

    Deliverables

    • Test and commissioning records
    • Operating and maintenance instructions
    • Agreed monitoring and optimisation practice
